Photography of the built environment.

Born and raised in Arizona, the mountainous Sonoran Desert is home, and my lifestyle is rooted in this extreme environment. I grew up hunting and fishing from my dad’s backpack before I could walk. This upbringing of preparedness, problem solving, overcoming obstacles, team work, adverse conditions, and integrity made me who I am. In the past 15 years I’ve gained a lifetime of experience; I spent a semester in Germany, visited Cairo during a coup d’etat, interned for one of the big three automakers, learned two foreign languages, worked a salmon season in Alaska, started a career, bought a house, got married and so much more. There’s been a camera in my hand at every turn.

My passion for cars progressed from Matchbox, to Need for Speed games, to building a track car of my own. It wasn’t sheer speed or opulence that captured my imagination. I was obsessed with the “How?” and “Why?” of design and engineering.

I recognized the same threads in architecture and immersed myself in the worlds of cars and buildings. These subjects inspire me and photography is how I show the world how incredible they are.

In my practice, the universal artistry of architecture, automotive design, and photography converge. I fell in love with depth and intention in design, and set out to accomplish the same in my work.
